About Me
Why do I blog?
My camera sees things. I want you to see them, too, so I’ll post one picture each day. Since I usually use too many words, I'll include a word or short phrase that reflects my own feeling about the photo, but I'm more interested in what you think and how it makes you feel. What I ask for in return is for you to post your comments about those pictures. Why you like them, or don't, what they make you think of, how they make you feel. You're seriously not getting comments? I'm guessing they're just not being published? Because how can anyone not comment!
I'm really impressed by your photography. You have an eye for color and the lines that will draw the eye. Fantastic! Of course I need to know more. Camera, etc.

Yes, I would love to have more comments! When I started my blog, I decided I wanted the pictures to "speak for themselves". I don't think it's all that important for my viewers to know what I was thinking when I took the photo, or why I chose it this day. I usually talk to much as it is, and wanted this to be a simple forum for my photos.
Still, I'd love to hear more of what emotions, thoughts or memories my pictures evoke for others.
I use about a five year old Nikon 5700 that is showing serious signs of its age and use! Not surprisingly, I use the macro setting a lot, and spot area focus metering most of the time. Other than that, I occasionally will use shutter or aperature priority.
Most of the time I walk around with my camera - on my way to and from work, on lunch breaks, and on weekend walks in wildish areas. In fact a great many photos, especially of the roses and gazania daisies, are taken in my own yard. My focus (poor pun for a photographer!) has to do with finding beauty where we don't expect it.
