Everything seems balanced on knife edge. Where all it takes is a misplaced breath, or a gentle nudge, and the moment is gone.
There's the seeing part and the thinking part. The delicate water drops, the tenacious balance, the refraction of another world through the magnifying globe....
...and then there's that other part, the one without thoughts, that I watch so thoughtfully. My determination to be mindful of the things unfolding in my heart. Of the things that are not of my mind.
The necessity to point that magnifying globe towards those feelings, those emotions.
Before they disappear.
Before the moment is gone.
Before my breath takes me someplace else.
Unless someplace else is exactly where it is supposed to take me.
And you. Take a deep breath.

My blog has a new home!!
I've found a new home for my blog and photos! I hope you'll pop over and take a look here Picsie Chick. The site is still in the building stages, with all of the same great pictures, and many new features to come.
I'd love to know what you think of it.
See you there!

Beautiful. So beautiful. Thank you.
Amazing photo.
But also such good words today that fit where I am.
My mind is full of good intentions to write to friends and time just slips like quicksilver through my fingers or the heavy tiredness of recent just stops me in my tracks. But I have been thinking about you and have written to you several times just need a way to get the words out of my head and onto paper now.
So although I try and capture the moment for now I have to accept it's absence in turning the thought into activity.
But I am still here every morning taking joy form your pice and sometimes from the words which I do read.
It is lovely to see this new devlopment in your blog BTW.
love

Oh, thank you, Julie! So glad you're enjoying your visits here!
Fire Byrd. Thank you. I can tell your thoughts are with me sometimes, and that feels good. Of course, I will love to read your email when it arrives! Thank you for holding me in your thoughts, and for visiting here often.
Hugs and butterflies,

This is truly beautiful. It reminds of a moment I had that inspired a poem I wrote that I'd like to share with you since it seems relevant. :)
Dewdrop
Divine bead,
perfect pearl,
life encapsulated
in a shimmering gem
cupped reverently
in the creased palms
of a leaf.
The light bends,
caresses,
kisses
the plump tangents
of this makeshift altar
whereon you lie
fat and contented,
near bursting.
One soft breath –
the globe
shatters:
Wet kisses to
satisfy
the parched earth
beneath my feet.
