inspiration
like courage
sometimes whispers quietly
sometimes gently nudges us
she can be easy to miss
he can be overlooked in the day to day rush
this glimmer of the Infinite
this amorphous muse
but the message winds around us
tickles us at the edges
diverts our attention
if only we'll let it
but some days are meant
for tasks
and duties
and deadlines
and like courage
inspiration
will be there to try again
tomorrow

John, thank you, again, for such nice comments. I've seen Duchess every morning I've walked to work except two, since I started walking. When she's not on the water she's either very alert and letting me know it....or she's very alert and pretending to be asleep. I think she knows I mean no harm and she lets me get quite close, which is such an honour. :-)
